The truth is, 100 calories from a serving of broccoli is not the same as 100 calories from a serving of soda. Focusing solely on the calorie count oversimplifies the role that macronutrients, micronutrients, and food quality play in weight management and overall health.
When working with clients, I always encourage a more holistic approach that goes beyond just counting calories. It’s about choosing nutrient-dense whole foods, balancing macros, and understanding how the body responds to different fuel sources. With the right education and guidance, people can learn to make informed choices that support their goals, whether that’s fat loss, muscle gain, or improved wellness.
